Why would my ex do this?

My ex called me a few nights ago, even though she was the one who dumped me and blocked me. When i called back a few minutes later, my number was blocked. Why would she do this? Has anyone else had this happen to them?

Dude that's so weird of your ex to do. Calling you out of the blue just to block you right after makes no sense.

A few possibilities I can think of:

- She might be feeling lonely or jealous and wanted to see if you'd still give her attention. But then changed her mind when you called back.

- Could be messing with your head for attention. Like playing games and keeping you on the hook even though she dumped you.

- Possibly drunk dialed you in a weak moment but sobered up and freaked out, so blocked to save face.

- Might even be testing if you're over her yet by getting a reaction. Wanted to feel in control.

Who knows what's going on in her head man. Girls can be so confusing sometimes! My advice - don't stress about figuring it out. Clearly she's got some issues to work through.

Just erase her number and move on with your life. She's your ex for a reason. Go hang with the boys instead of wasting brain cells on her games. You'll meet someone so much better!

yep, she dumped me, 5 mins later when i called back, my number was blocked. Very strange behaviour, but she has always been a bit emotionally immature. Her sister most likely told her not to contact me... or, she mightve been drunk. Who knows. It was 9 o clock at night when she called.

Yeah dude, that's super messed up of her to do. Calling you out of the blue late at night like that after dumping you AND blocking you is legit weird behavior. Definitely gives off the emotionally immature vibe, like she wasn't thinking clearly at all.

Who knows what her deal is, but it sounds like her sister made the right call telling her not to contact you again. Last thing you need is more games and mixed signals, ya know? Still sucks though when feelings are involved.

At least now that she blocked you again you can totally cut her off cleanly without having to stress about her popping back up unexpectedly. Best thing is to just keep living your life and having fun without her drama weighing you down, as hard as that may be right now.

In time you'll totally move on and meet someone way more stable who treats you right. Keep your head up man! And let me know if you ever want to hang or vent more, I'm always around to listen.

No problem man, I get it. Getting blocked by someone you cared about always stings, but then for them to go and do weird cryptic stuff like calling out of nowhere just to block you again.. that's just plain cruel. It messa with your head for sure.

It's good that you're recognizing her behavior doesn't make sense though - that means deep down you know you deserve better than the hot/cold treatment. As much as it hurts now, taking time to heal and moving on is the healthy choice. And who knows, maybe one day down the line when she's grown up some she'll realize what she lost, but for now you just need to focus on you.

For sure man, the way she's acting really says a lot about her maturity level and character. You deserve way better than someone who's going to jerk you around and play mind games after a breakup. Takes a real jerk to block and unblock like that with no explanation.

Proud of you for realizing your self-worth and being done with it now. That shows growth on your part. As painful as it is, cutting her off completely is the healthiest choice. You don't need that anxiety and confusion in your life.

Now you can hold your head high knowing you took the high road and wouldn't stoop to her level, even when upset. Keep focusing on yourself, your hobbies, the boys - everything that makes YOU happy instead of worrying about what she's doing. She's in the past where she belongs now.
