What are the chances my ex and I get back together?

My ex and I were never in a serious relationship however we both wanted the same thing (being in a relationship). We live in the same city however she moved to another due to studies (it’s only an hour away) Things moved too quickly and we couldn’t deal with the pressure so things ended due to stress. We liked each other a lot and were very compatible. Our biggest issue was communication which wasn’t ideal for a ldr, however I think it’s something that can be worked on.

It’s almost 5 months since things ended and I’ve had time to reflect and I think she has as well. I think we were both naive and simply not ready to be with one another, to put things simply. I feel that time away has made me realise that. Although it wasn’t perfect, when we were together we made each other feel whole (for the astrology fans, I’m a Capricorn and she’s a Taurus) I want to get back with her but also respect the no contact boundary.

First things first. Astrology has absolutely nothing, no... thing I tell you, to do with relationships and how well a couple is matched.

Second, it sounds like there were issues other than communication in this situation. As time goes on, it seems to me that communication is more a convenient scapegoat than anything. Don't get me wrong, bad communication is certainly a factor, but there are often more issues, in both kind and number, at play.

You already said you moved things way too quickly (I'm assuming that means with sex too, would I be correct?). That and you weren't ready, that you were dealing with a lot of pressure and stress. If these are all true, first, wait until marriage for sex. You'll save yourself a lot of trouble. Second, you'd have to actually discuss the issues that you were each having at the time. Don't presume or try to force anything though. Relationships can't be pushed into agendas and time tables.

Lastly, it's possible that things can work out, but with what you've said here, be prepare for the chance that things might not work out the way you hope. Be prepared for the chance that you each might need to move on.

If you even remotely take astrology seriously... I hope all the bad things in the world happen to you and only you. But I can't say if that will get your ex back or not. If she is a wonderful person and you didn't deserve her then you will never get her back. If she is going to be the worst thing that ever happened to you in the long run... you will get her back.

Personally, I feel that it is wasted time and energy. Even though you only live 1 hour away from her, your main issue is communication. It was already a problem when you were close but now that you are separated, it becomes even a bigger issue.

If you failed to communicate with her in 5 months, how would you know that she did not move ahead and started anew? I mean, you are still hoping that time stood still with her but alas, it is not how it works.

If she initiated the no contact boundary, then you have to respect it. If it is you that started it, then you can try to break it but be cautious. You may not like to hear what she has to say. Are you ready for that? Good luck anyway.

anyways. being only an hour away isn't too bad, but long distance isn't ideal at all. i'd just let it go.

ending a relationship because the stress got to be too much isn't a good foundation to go back to. relationships are supposed to be supportive, no matter what.
