I totally forgot mine. No missing, nothing. Feels like he has never existed, I have some positive feelings as because at some point he made me feel very loved but other than that, I just came across his photo and felt nothing.

Yes for the most part , I can’t say completely , because I will always have some sort of memories , but in time , those memories tend to get buried so deep for me , to the point I don’t really remember to much about them and I don’t even really think about them anymore. An ex is an ex for a reason , they should be exempt from your life as much as possible , especially before pursuing a relationship with someone else. People shouldn’t pursue relationships with anyone , until they feel they are completely over their ex for the most part , it’s very disrespectful to the new person , if you are constantly talking about your ex , like they were this amazing person or this important person that was in your life. If they were so amazing and important to you or your life? They shouldn’t be your ex period. When someone holds onto their ex , like they were this important person , you are best not to give your heart to that person , because they aren’t giving you their heart completely in return completely. If I. am dating a girl that constantly talks about her ex to me without me questioning her about him or her? I will not go any further with her , I will walk the other way. Because to me it’s very disrespectful and it shows they aren’t over their ex. Your ex is your past , they shouldn’t be a part of your present and future , they should be a closed chapter in your life period. The only way I will talk about an ex , is if I am questioned about it from the girl I am dating , other than that, my exes are buried as much as possible , and they are no longer a priority in my life. If an ex is still a part of my life and my feelings? I will not be able to give my heart to another girl , what so ever.
I live on memory lane
The vestiges of my previous ex hangs about me like a ghost in my mind. She's always hoe I remember and not how she truly was or is today.
I gave her my vCard and had planned to propose to her.
🎶But she flirted and cheated, no way to behave, so my emotional axe sent her to the grave 🎶 (a parody of Henry VIII song by Horrible Histories)
8 years later I still hunger for her... at least for the version of her that I remember...
She got knocked up by her last lover. They got married and have four kids together.
I got my college degree, got married and now have 2 kids.
Yet I still think about her

Yes it’s normal. I see them today, I don’t feel anything. I don’t however forget the memories we shared but the feelings are gone. Long gone!

I've never forgotten my ex-wife of 20 years. I've forgotten some of the women I've dated, both before and after my marriage, while I still remember some of them.
Years? Days would be more accurate. I would love to be proven wrong, but the way I see it, the norm is:-
Women play all mushy music, eat loads of ice cream and wallow in self pity for ages.. Blokes, we don't do that. We play loud happy music, go out and enjoy ourselves and are over ex's in a week or less.
I realise there will be exceptions to that, but I think women love to dwell on what might have been (always quoting:- but we had a history together)
When I give advice to ANYONE breaking up male OR female, I always say the same thing. It's over, accept it just wasn't meant to be, and swiftly move on!
Its normal, happens for me with those I didn't truly love but was merely love blind with. But if you truly love them like I loved my last ex, you always will unless they change so much your love no longer applies. In that case, you will always love who they were. Because to me love is more than just feelings, feelings fade to the point where seeing a picture of your ex doesn't cause pain for example. But when you remember them fondly and still love them for who they are / would love to try again if it happens to align that way then thats love to me.

My first ex I still remember to this day. I remember EVERYTHING that was ever said and done in that relationship and sometimes I find myself missing her dearly.
My second one I feel nothing for. When we first broke up, I was pissed because she cheated on me. I wanted to rain all kinds of hell down on her. However, that anger had subsided. She called me once a few years ago (not sure how she got my number). When we talked, she said it seems as if I have no emotions lol
I remember what I thought I liked about them, and then I remember the good times and I remember the bad times. Usually feels kinda like a hallmark movie with a bittersweet ending.
Some woman pass you like a bullet, it's easy to get emotional about it in the moment and looking back, but in the end you're just glad it's over.
It's not abnormal if you don't feel anything. I guess if they impacted your life in some awesome positive way, then you would probably feel something. I have still strong feelings for a crush and an ex. Wifey knows about it and that's with that. They both impacted my life one way or another. All other exes, no feelings whatsoever.
I didn't... all of them meant a lot for me, all my relationships were rather years long so we had enough time to create beautiful memories. So I wouldn't even like to forget...

I totally forget my ex. she was kind caring loving at first but over the years her personality changed. saying how another man she dated was way better then me. assaulting me and spreading lies which eventually lead to her parents/sister getting involved. now every once in awhile when i want to go to the shops i have to avoid them. otherwise they give me these angry looks.
