I just need advice about a guy?

So I dated this guy for awhile and he broke up with me and it really did affect me pretty bad. Took me years to get over him… 3 years later he follows me on instagram and said if I ever wanted to hang out we could meet somewhere… does this mean he still likes me? If not any advice on why he would just follow and message me out of nowhere

It's hard to say really why he reached out after so long. Could be a few different reasons:

He might still have some feelings and wanted to see if you'd be open to hanging out as friends or more. Guys aren't always the best at expressing their emotions. Could be he regrets breaking up and wants to test the waters.

Or it might not be about still having feelings. He could just be bored or curious since it's been a long time. Might be hoping you're single and available so he has someone to hook up with if you're down.

I'd be kinda wary if I was you. Guys can be fickle, he left you hurt before. If you do meet up keep it casual and don't get your hopes up it means more till you get a better read on his intentions. Don't let him just mess with your feelings again. Make sure you're over him yourself before getting involved.

But who knows, maybe he's changed. Up to you if you even wanna find out where his head's at. Just protect your heart - don't dive back in blindly till you know for sure he won't break it a second time!

Yes I have an opinion but you’ll probably not like it.
He is with someone and now 3 years later looking to add something on the side… you are the something. Trust me, he didn’t realize 3 years later he made a mistake… he just thinks he got you once before, he can get you again.
