Mostly for the girls but guys welcome to give some input.
I was seeing a guy on and off for around a year and a half (more on then off). However communication broke down and long distance made things hard and I found myself getting attached in an unhealthy way.
He wasn’t perfect and definitely hurt me, but he is a good person. How do you get over a separation with someone who is a good person? I don’t want to speak to him (i tried that before and I got the opposite of closure🤣). Any tips? I’ve been trying to move on for about 4/5 months now and I’m not really getting anywhere💀

Ah man, breakups with good people are the worst. First thing is don't be so hard on yourself - it takes time to get over someone completely, especially when the relationship went on for a while.
A few things that helped me move on:
- Delete/hide all pics of you two so you're not stalking socials and bringing up old memories.
- Lean on your girls. Have crappy food/movie/spa nights with close friends to get your mind off things.
- Start a hobby or project you find really fulfilling so you feel accomplished. Learning something new is distracting.
- NGL I cried it out when I needed to. Letting out emotions is better than holding it in.
- Went on a few rebound dates just to get used to talking/flirting with other guys again. Didn't need to date seriously, just rebuilding confidence helped.
- Give it time. With each month that passes, the pain will lessen a bit more. One day you'll realize you went a whole day without thinking about them.
Staying busy, working on yourself, and being patient were keys for me. You'll get through this - you're a strong, independent woman! If it gets really hard, talking to someone could also help. But you've got this girl.
