Why would my ex call me toxic?

I am a nice person and not even close to being toxic why is he telling everyone that he was in a toxic relationship with me? This is going to ruin my reputation. I did nothing that was toxic. What should I do about this?

Some people think they're nice but they're passive aggressive and therefore toxic. Try to be more mindful of what you're doing and see if he's right.

On the other hand, some people gaslight their partner to cover up their own flaws and errors, which is projected toxicity -- meaning he's the toxic one and is tricking you into thinking it's you.

Figure out which one of these applies to your situation and then you can figure out the solution. (Personally, I'd get ready to pack up at leave this fellow either way. Sounds like he's aiming for that... )

You can't control what he says and you just have to lead by what you know is your truth. People will get to know you and know that you are not toxic so he can say all he wants it's best to let it go and just not worry about it anymore. He is an ex for a reason

You sound pretty toxic. Toxic people worry about this stuff. Non-toxic people know that if someone tries to besmirch thier good name that the ONLY thing that person that's doing the besmirching ends up doing is destroying thier own credibility.
