My ex and I had huge ego. Breakup was the single most thing that made this ego issue go from bad to worst.
He didn’t treat me the way I wanted coz I rejected him 10 years back. When I went back he made me beg and plead to stay back. He couldn’t commit or accept my feelings and was rude and cruel. He was enjoying his single life with his friends. He made me hate him.

Fast forward, now his friends are in different cities and are snakes. Now he is begging me to marry him. He is bombarding my phone with marriage request.

Woah girl, that's a mess of a situation. Honestly it sounds like marrying this guy would be a really bad idea. He clearly had some ego and commitment issues in the past that caused major problems in your relationship. Just because his friends are gone now doesn't mean those issues have magically disappeared.

The fact that he made you beg and plead after you took him back, and was rude and cruel, is a giant red flag. That's not how you treat someone you genuinely care about. It seems like back then he just wanted the ego boost of having you chase after him while he played the field.

I'd be really cautious about getting back with him now. People don't usually change that much. It's a little convenient that all of a sudden he's "begging" you to marry him right when his friends aren't around anymore. To me that says he's not actually ready to commit - he just doesn't want to be alone.

You deserve so much better than being someone's second choice or backup plan. I say don't settle for this guy just because he's begging now. You know how he really treated you before. Protect your heart - don't open yourself up to that kind of disrespect again. You can do so much better, girl!
