You can't leave him due to kids and finances. Would you be worried about stds? Does that thought even come to you and how do you deal with it if u have to turn a blind eye? How do you avoid obligatory sex to keep things status quo?

You absolutely can leave him with kids and finances, but that aside, I'd call him out. We don't have to stay emotionally married to stay legally married, if the legal marriage is somehow valuable to you for whatever reason. (Legit though, your kids will understand, your finances can be sorted. It's difficult, but you can lay the groundwork before getting divorced if needed.) Definitely get tested for diseases just in case, and if you can, have him tested as well. You do NOT have to have sex with this man and probably shouldn't.

I’d find a way to leave. That’s an abusive situation. You’re not helpless. You can make a way to leave, even if you have to stay with family or friends at first. Don’t stay in a toxic situation like this.
