You had me until the child part. If he had a vivid sexual past, that's okay as long as he was free of stds and had no kids in the process. We all have pasts. And we shouldn't be judged. But if he had kids, some aborted and others kept but not being in touch with, should tell you something about them as a future parent and person. He sounds like an irresponsible man, and he shouldn't have lied in the first place. I would call it off asap. He sounds like he has a lot more baggage: probably more than you know.
I can't imagine her situation now, she must be lost , but if it was me and I love this man, I may confess to him I know the truth, and that if he wants me to stay in his life he should take responsability of the child and apologize to those women. I know that this doesn't change the past, but that's the least to do. I may consider he lied because he was afraid to loose me, but he must start taking actions that he need to take.
