Just say thanks, I mean your ex is right there is nobody like you and the same goes for him. That’s not to say there isn’t someone else for both of you, who will make you happier.

If you’re not interested anymore tell him if you’re open to trying again depending on how the relationship ended then you can do that. But never try picking up where you left off. It needs to start slow again to see if you’re even compatible or if it’s just a waste of time. People make the mistake of picking up where they left off and that’s very risky especially if it fails again.

Just say thank you and that you know he's right because you won't be looking that direction and walk away the less communication the better. I mean you could say some rude things you can say some funny things but it's better just to let it go take the high road the less you say to him you're crazy it's going to drive him but that's all right

Wheres the downside? Seriously, if a partner in have says that, my response would be " if this relationship ends, then I hope not because we wouldn't have worked out, and I'd need someone that wasn't like you in hopes we would work out long term. So where's the downside?"
