What is the best thing to make an ex miss you and regret doing wrong things to you? Why do guys get angry when confronted?

I'm no perfect. We met at work and really grew fond of each other. It was more like a situationship not exactly like we dated. But things went downhill, we ended up hurting each other. I made him angry and he pushed me away. We don't talk to each other now. I deleted his contact and he did mine. We both had different career options so left the job not at the same time but eventually. The reason was I confronted him about our relationship but he got angry and was not accepting that he had feelings for me. What is he doing and why would he do that? I'm not wrong, I still believe I was right by expressing my feelings truly but he wasn't which made me really angry. I want to make him realise that what he had done was wrong by playing with my feelings which he never accepted. I later heard that he threw shade at me on his WhatsApp status also. This guy is a jerk. Please help me!

You want him to miss you and have regrets then what? He comes back and you dive right back into a situation that you know will never work? Nonsense. On top of that, why would he see your worth or care about it when you don’t see it or care about it either? Settling for a situationship was devaluing, it said to him that you were gonna wait on the sidelines being readily available for whatever attention he would give until one day he finally decided to pick you. He would’ve respected you more and saw more value if at some point you were like fck no, you either want to date me or you don’t. But no, you fed into his silly little wishy washy games, stuck around for his indecisiveness, and the worst part is he knows how he mistreated you and if he went back you would accept him. That is too easy, no man wants easy unless there’s sex involved.

If you knew your worth then why did he stop working for you? Why did you settle for a situationship? Men treating a woman like a conquest is always how it starts, it’s when it slows down or stops completely that you know it was disingenuous in the first place. That’s why you should have a standard of in or out”, dating or not, in a relationship or not. Not the gray area we call a situationship, it’s just an excuse for men to drag their feet. He can’t regret losing you if he never valued having you in the first place, and his discarding of your relationship is more than enough proof of that. I’m not telling you any of this to be rude or make you feel any kind of way, I am blunt to fault. I just want to be honest and from the outside if you valued yourself, your time and who gets it then you would’ve cut him off the moment he switched up.
