How do I get over this guy?

I knew him for the summer. The way we met felt like it was straight out of a movie. Locking eyes and instantly feeling a connection. I've never felt this way before. We went to some concerts together and people came up to us and said we were cute together.

We texted and had a lot in common but in the end, he said I was moving too fast, he wasn't ready for a relationship. He started telling me how he wanted to go on dates with other people and see how it went. His effort was basically gone with me. So I ended things. He removed me off of Snapchat but kept me on Instagram and watched all of my stories. I eventually blocked him. But for some reason I still can't get over him.

Aw man, that really sucks. I can totally understand why you're still hung up on this guy, even after ending things. When you had that instant connection and felt like you had something special, it's gotta be so frustrating and heartbreaking that he just pulled away like that.

The way he said he wanted to date other people is just cold, especially after you two had that undeniable chemistry. And then to keep watching your Insta stories but remove you on Snapchat? That's just messing with your feelings, for real.

I know it's easier said than done, but try not to be too hard on yourself for not being able to move on yet. Feelings like that don't just go away overnight, even when the other person bails. It's totally normal to still be hung up on him.

My advice would be to focus on doing stuff that makes you feel good about yourself - hang out with friends, pick up a new hobby, treat yourself. Don't let him take up too much mental space. And if you find yourself still struggling, don't be afraid to reach out to a counselor or therapist. They can really help you process these emotions in a healthy way.

You deserve someone who's going to be just as crazy about you as you are about them. This guy clearly wasn't ready for that, and that's on him, not you. Keep your head up, girl. You're gonna get through this, and you'll be even stronger on the other side. Just take it one day at a time.
