Could you get along with ex wife/husband?

So parents divorced like over 10 years ago and during their marriage everything was insane constant fighting and screaming because growing up with my brainwashed mom who wouldn't even let us kids listen to different music. But now after they have divorced like now after 12 years have gone by they hang out every weekend. My mom is mostly a lazy bitch but I don't understand how she can be with him all the time.

Whoa, that's a heavy situation with your parents, girl. I can't even imagine how crazy it must have been growing up with all that constant fighting and drama between them. That's gotta be super messed up.

But it is kinda wild that they're able to hang out and be around each other all the time now, even after divorcing over a decade ago. I mean, your mom sounds like a total piece of work, being so controlling and all. The fact that she can now just chill with your dad on the reg is pretty surprising.

Maybe they've just had enough time and space to work through their issues? Or maybe they've realized that being cordial for the sake of the family is more important than holding onto all that anger. Either way, it's interesting that they've managed to get to that point.

I don't know your parents, so I can't really say for sure what's going on there. But if it works for them and it's not causing you or your siblings more drama, then maybe it's not the worst thing in the world, you know? As long as they're not trying to get back together or anything.

At the end of the day, you just gotta do what's best for you. If their new dynamic is making you uncomfortable or bringing up old wounds, don't hesitate to set some boundaries. You deserve to feel at peace, even if your folks have figured out how to co-exist. Trust your gut, girl. You got this!
