Depends upon where you live and what his will or trust specifies..

In California if a spouse dies without a will/trust, all community property belongs to the surviving spouse and all separate property gets divided according to intestate succession laws. For example, if the deceased has a spouse and one sibling, but no progeny or parents, the spouse gets 1/2 of the separate property and the sibling gets the other half. We deal with a lot of cases where people who do not know assume that the spouse gets everything only to get sued.

After divorce, if he has a trust or will and does not change it, yes, the ex can inherit everything. Otherwise, if he dies intestate she would have no claim (in California).

If you have children together and he has no will no new spouse and no living relatives then it can pass to the children and if they are minors and have no trust then he she would control the money after probate. If he she spent it the kids can sue their own parent later but it's probably gone for ever.

If you divorce you have no right to any inheritance your husband would get UNLESS a mother or father in law SPECIFICALLY left something to you in their will.

This might be rather unusual if you divorce their son! But maybe your in laws like you better than their son! It could happen!

LOL, no. In fact, even if you are married when he inherits, if he keeps what he inherits separate from marital property, you have no claim on it.

Depends how long you was married and faithful to him. Also you might not get it all if he leaves some it to the kids you had with him.

No, that won't be possible. However, I think getting an alimony is possible though (if the case is in woman's favor)
