For those who are divorced, what is the main cause of your failed marriage? Do you regret it?

Not divorced HOWEVER, 98 percent of divorces I’ve seen has infidelity involved there are people who divorce for other reasons as well as the reasons people have affairs differ relationship to relationship. As well as it can be the man, it can be the woman, or it can be both.

Sometimes it’s just people have distance maybe two people don’t feel appreciated by one another anymore. They may start to seek that in another person.

Lust…. A marriage can be going great but they are just simply lusting. They have the desire to try someone or something new outside their partner. They’re bored in bed.

Not any real passion, in our sex life- I did not want to 'schedule' having sex - My response to why our sex life was not good

No regrets from me, as I did not like being a 'step-parent' - with all of the inter family squabbling that went on, in the long term, the divorce was the best solution.

She (the prior wife) calls periodically- says she is not proud of the way she ended our marriage.

I’m on my way to that end but for me it was just the realization I wasn’t in love. I cared for him but he lacked a lot of things I needed and didn’t realize it until I matured myself. We both probably are better with other people. Getting married at 25 is young, a lot of things change. What I needed/wanted 20 years ago is so different than now. We also have a lot of different interests and some fundamental values we differ on.

We amicably divorced after 20 years because the reason we got married, to have kids and raise a family, was no longer there. Our kids were grown and the two of us had fallen apart over the years. We were great parents but only mediocre lovers.

Not divorced myself, but three of my friends are. I guess it was always a breakdown/fade-out of communication after a few years and they couldn’t restart it. The girls were relatively quick to „covertly“ find new partners and that was practically the end of the marriage. The guys did not exactly like going through a divorce, but they are happier now.

Well, it was many things, but distance was a problem.
Ex-wife tried to move from Canada to the UK, but she got denied. Apparently all comers from the middle east are accepted but Canada is a no-go... I wasn't in any position to move to Canada at the time... and things just deteriorated.

I believe that we were very young and she couldn:xt handle things the way i did, to me there was always hope and to me i believed that love will always win and that together we can make the impossible possible but she turned out to be different and chose to leave in the middle of the road!
