once you have kids and a family. Marriage becomes more than just about passion or excitement or just about having fun. You now have a duty to care and be there for your family especially your children. You shouldn't be acting like you are still childless and free to leave for any little petty reason. Thats why I think that people who divorce cuz their spouse isn't getting enough sex or affection is a huge red flag. They dont believe they have a duty or obligation to their family or children. Theyre too selfish fulfilling their own personal fantasies than to see the bigger picture that their spouse and children NEED you

The only instance where I'd disagree with this is if the two were so bitterly opposed to eachother that staying together was just having negative impact on thier children.

I remember my parents fighting like cats and dogs growing up. But there was no question when they weren't fighting about how much they loved eachother and all of us kids. I think parents need to remember that kids are always watching you. And that a father is a girls example of what a man should be. And a mother is a boy's example of womanhood. So remember you're the things you say and do, or don't say and do, is painting thier future.

You stop fighting by compromising. Realize your kids need both parents, realizing that you are better off taking care of each other by the time you get old, better off financially by paying the mortgage and bills together than trying to pay everything off by yourself

A person's divorce is a reflection of the challenges in their past relationship, not a prediction of their future ones. It's a sign that they were in a relationship that wasn't working, not a sign that they are a bad person or that they are incapable of a healthy relationship.

I don't think bring divorced, by itself, is necessarily a red flag, no. The reason behind the divorce could be, though.

If a woman is divorced because her husband was abusive, for example, that would not be a red flag. She got herself, and her children, out of a bad situation, and that's respectable. If she's divorced because she was cheating on him, then yeah; that would obviously be a huge red flag.

Context is important, in cases such as divorce.

Men abandoning their kids for single moms to raise shows he only stays when the situation benefits him. It should be a red flag
