Stalking an ex simply means that you are not over him/her or that you want to see what they do, whom they are with and how they are doing being without you.

Also, define stalking in this context? Watching the social media casually is hardly stalking whereas spying on them such as watching their every move, parking the car next to their place to see who is coming and going form their place would qualify as stalking.

I see stalking as a way to attempt to remain connected with a person that once meant something in your life but it is an unhealthy activity because it does not give you the closure you need.
