My online ex who dumped me weeks ago randomly found my new forum profile and sent me a scary message. Why?

Why did my online ex reach out to tel me to stop posting on a forum? What should I do?

That’s really ominous. It was like him warning me that I post bad stuff and need to stop because people can tell it’s me posting even though I made a new profile because I post the same stuff over and over and I talk about my personal life. I feel so fucking scared 😭. I feel so exposed wtf

It sounds like he is insecure and doesn’t trust you , based off of things you said on your forum , so he is just assuming you are this bad girl , when really you aren’t , the same thing happens to me on here with girls’ assuming I am a certain way, just based off of my questions , which most of my questions and opinions are just how I see things or I am curious about , but they really have nothing to do with me and they really have nothing to do with me , I just like to ask questions and see what other people think about it as well , especially if they encountered a similar situation , My personal life pretty much has nothing to do with my online life whatsoever, so it just goes to show how easy it is for people to just assume things. It’s kind of like a text message , have you ever received a text message from someone that made you upset or made you think why the fuck did they say that , until you finally talk to them on the phone or in person , and then you find out you just assumed what they said instead of what they actually were saying to you? It happens a lot , Why I don’t like to text much anymore , unless it’s something short and to the point, because we can easily assume things without truly knowing what they were really saying. So just ignore him or block him if he is trying to rain on your parade

Thanks. Yeah it sounds like you just like to spill all your random thoughts or questions online which is what I do as well. It doesn’t mean I’m bad I just do it for catharsis and to get knowledge about how people think and act.

You just said he found your new online profile... new. Like stop with airing out your business to strangers and move on with your life and hopefully he'll get bored. It is obvious that if you rant about the breakup or indirectly let others know what happened with him, he is going to feel targeted. Those that know him will obviously put one and one together since they also know who he was with before breaking up.

A new profile with old content is not going to make you more anonymous.

You should simply refrain from posting this kind of information that makes it easy for others to know who is posting those comments.

What is past is past, so move forward rather than to try to keep that relation alive with tons of questions. It is not going to change anything.

True and I figured it was a possibility he would see my posts since theyre public and I keep posting about him (indirectly of course). I genuinely have always been a girl who goes on forums and asks tons of questions about whatever crush I had or guy I dealt with. He’s not special in that regard AT ALL lol. I wish he realized that. This is just how I deal with things. It’s just that I’ve never had it to where a guy I’m asking about has found my posts about him. So that part is new for me. I also don’t get why he would reach out to say that to me, and that’s the weird part to me. Like clearly if he read any of my posts he would see that I’m not trying to get back with him, and I mentioned in my posts that I ‘can’t be friends with or talk to a guy I’m in love with’ so he knows be shouldn’t be trying to contact me and do anything like talk to be friendly because that’s not helpful to my healing process yet be did it anyway. It’s just weird.
