I've been with my SO for almost 2.5 years and she is currently fully moving in to my apartment.
At first it felt great to have her in my place all the time. She would spend a majority of her week at my apartment and over time she just stayed. I remember early on in our relationship I would ask her to leave so I can have the privacy and she never seemed bothered by it. Eventually I started asking her for financial help since she was basically living with me. I would ask help with rent, electricity, internet. And she would kick me back some money, never half of rent but a few hundred. And every other month she would pay for Internet/Electricity.
Back in September of last year, she informed she could no longer assist me with bills due to her own bills pilling up. I told her its no problem since I can afford to pay for the bills. Then in November she gave me an ultimatum. She told me to either have her fully move in and on the lease or she is moving back with her dad and we were not gonna be together anymore.
I felt rushed, I dont know why since she was already living with me. But now I have anxiety and its making me feel really uncomfortable. The last few days she has been moving all of her stuff in but then moving my stuff around and asking me to throw things I dont want to throw away. She also reminded me that she still can not afford to help me with bills until March. And that her friends and family will have open range to come over whenever. I am not okay with that I am a big private space kind of man. And anytime I try to establish rules she gets upset and threatens to move back into her dads and end our relationship. I find this behavior really immature but I like keeping the peace so I keep my thoughts to myself.
Am I being taken advantage of here?
