What's worse being the dumper or the dumpee?

I've been both and I feel that being dumped is worse.

Depends on the reasoning behind the dumping, really.

If a person gets dumped because the dumpee is "bored" or "wants to experiment" or some other BS reason, despite doing nothing wrong, than being the dumpee seems worse, to me.

If a person gets dumped because they cheated, then being the dumper feels worse, because they were the one that got betrayed, leading to the breakup.

That's how most people feel -- the dumpee has been rejected, the dumper is relieved to be out of an unsatisfactory relationship.

Blame is not required -- sometimes we just realize that a relationship isn't working because we have incompatible goals, because our lifestyles clash, or we're just missing something important that the other person cannot give. Sometimes we realize that our partner is unable to hear things that are important to us.
