Essay… These are really two extremes I just think it’s cowardly to ghost someone and shows someone’s true character. While technically there isn’t a law against it and you aren’t legally entitled to a exclamation as to why someone isn’t responding. It does make them a coward…. Point blank.

At the end of the day if someone ghosts they aren’t worth your time. There is a few reasons people do it…. They’re scared of how you’ll react (as if ignoring someone won’t make them madder), they’re playing games, or just keeping you on the back burner. They think if they give you closure that doors closed. Instead…. They hope maybe you’ll hold on so that if something else doesn’t work out you’ll be their fallback. And believe me…. If you become a fallback this isn’t a compliment.

That’s a big one as well…. Look I don’t expect people to write our a essay or type one. Though, some people are just getting feelings off their chest.

But give someone closure. So both of you can move on.

I got a 10 page letter from my first girlfriend explaining why I should not have broken up with her. I was unmoved. Letters are mainly for the benefit of the writer, not the reader. And, no, it wasn't degrading, as much as it sounds that way: she was processing grief in her own way.
