Me personally ends it for good , because a living partner will stay and fix what is broken, not walk away so they can weigh their options. What would you do?

I wouldn’t do breaks, because to me it’s like the person shouldn’t get to pick and choose when I’m going to matter. We are either in it and going to work through whatever is going on, or it’s time to call it quits. It’s not right to leave things in limbo, or to emotionally distress the person who isn’t asking for a break but is willing to give their partner space/time.

Well, most of the time separation is mandated by law regardless, so you kinda have to get used to it. But I know what you’re saying. You’re saying that there’s no chance you’re ever gonna get back together with this person. Why can’t we just end it today? I’ve been there and wondered the same thing. But laws or laws and our lawmakers believe people should have six months or something like that to have a chance to reconnect and communicate before divorcing. And in fairness, sometimes the unexpected can occur during this time. It’s unusual, but not completely out of the ordinary.
