Should I get my stuff from my ex now or wait and give him space?

I was with my boyfriend two years I was his first girlfriend and we just broke up a week ago. Pretty messy breakup. I still have a few things I need to get from his house. I don't want things to end but he is moving too slow for me. Two years and he wants me to lease another apartment alone (that I can't afford) instead of living with him (& paying him rent) when we were basically living together anyway... anywho I want to give him space to breathe and hopefully regret and miss me. Should I wait longer to get my stuff? Or get my stuff so he realizes he might be actually losing me...

So you’re just w him for the financial benefits? You’re old enough you should be able to afford a place of your own. Doesn’t sound as though you really love him the way you say you do if you’re willing to breakup w him over this. My question too is did you discuss a timeline w him? If not than just because he’s not following your timeline doesn’t mean you’re right. You’re trying to push him to be on your timeline when he may have a different timeline in his mind. Doesn’t mean he’s wrong. As for your stuff unless it’s something like your mom’s necklace she gave you or something relay important I’d leave it.
