When a guy says maybe?

My ex and I broke up almost 2 months ago and I asked him if there is any hope of him and I getting back together and he said maybe. What does maybe mean. he should know if he does or not right

One thing I have learned about guys is you can tell more from their actions then their words. And if you really want to get back together with him then you need to cut off contact and see how long it takes him to get back in touch. If there is a chance then he should start messaging you after a couple weeks. Don't answer or respond and see if the messages get more frequent and desperate. If he wants you back, then he will make it happen.

I hate when guys say that...He's debating on it thou because you never know what mite happen during that working it out time that so called "may-be time"...Any1 can come in his life or anything can happen which you hope that nuthin happens but then that's when that "maybe time" comes in because you never now what mite happens just float wit the boat and be patient don't rush him back

He means that he doesn't know and that he wan'ts to see what will happen when time goes by, guys can't predict the future, its not like you ask him if we are going to get back together, and he says YES! same goes for if he said NO! I mean seriously.

No, he may not know. Both girls and guys feel this way sometimes. WHat he means by maybe is that he doesn't want a relationship right now. He may be really busy with something, like school or work or anything. Trust me, if he said maybe, he is still thinking of you, and if you don't pressure him into making a decision, he will talk to you when he is ready

In your case I think the maybe is closer to a no then a yes.  I think he just doesn't wanna hurt your feelings, but you never know, just my opinion... I don't know all the details.
