Co-worker offers me rides home all the time...

My coworker wants to give me rides home all the time ( l live bout a mile and a half away from work, pretty close.) He lives about 20 mins. away. He's offering me rides home all the time and seems to enjoy getting to talk to me alone, flirts, etc. Yet he hasn't made a move or anything...what gives? Is he not interested but just being friendly? Should I make a move? I just can't read this guy!

This could go either way. He could be interested and he could just be a polite guy.

Does he ever offer rides to anyone else? I think it's a good sign if it's just you he's doing this for. Some guys are just nice guys and you'll see them offering rides to all.

Do you sit and chat after the ride, like hang around longer than necessary in your driveway? I think it's good if he seems to want to talk to you and drag out the conversation, and is sad when you leave.

But it could still just be a nice guy - I hung out like this a guy for over a year, and I thought OK he's driving me home all the time, we are hanging out and chatting for up to an hour and half after. But he didn't like me at all - I should have known immediately when he never took me up on the chance to come hang out inside my house instead of staying outside all the time/keeping it casual.

So any ways, if you want to try to get a read on the situation you could one day say thanks for all the rides and that you want to pay him back. You could make some cookies or something and offer that to tide him over for the drive back to his place, and see if he'll come inside to hang out and eat - I'd say you could make that pretty casual where it's just friendship and have it not be awkward if he's not into you.

Thanks! he just offers rides to me and no one else. I did bake cookies for Christmas and bring them in for all my coworkers and he would not stop complimenting me all day that day for how good the cookies were. And, he complimented the sweater I had on. I do know he's divorced (me, too. a while ago) but he also got burned in that so maybe he just isn't quite ready yet. The cookies idea is good though, especially since I know he likes my baking!
