Am I wrong for getting the ride to work?

Ok, so we live on the outskirts of town. Takes 20 minutes or more for me to get to work. I have been trying to save for a vehicle but don't have enough yet. My boyfriend said I should quit my job... he rides to work everyday with his son in law so he doesn't have to worry about a ride. I can't quit my job because I am trying to pay bills and tickets and I have an 18 year old starting college to think about. Plus if I don't work I never have even the things I need as it's of no importance to him. So today I couldn't find a ride except for a young man in his mid 30s... him and his girlfriend gave me a ride to work. My boyfriend said it is disrespectful and is now planning God knows what to make himself feel like he has paid me back for the disrespect. Should I have not taken the ride?

You needed a ride to get to your job and your boyfriend wasn't concerned for your situation, you found a solution, it's not like the dude that gave you a ride had bad intentions, not to mention he was with his girlfriend as well, your boyfriend doesn't wanna help you but doesn't want others to help you either, it doesn't work like that and that's a very selfish mindset, his solution was to quit your job, why doesn't he quit what he was doing to pick you up to take you to your job? Cause it's stupid to quit a job for small reasons but him telling you to do it is very selfish of him, you have responsibilities and found a solution to your problem, I see nothing wrong with it.

No, you were not wrong for getting a lift to work. However, I think you are a fool if you allow yourself to be controlled by your boyfriend.. Who the hell does he think he is?

Bottom line. Your life, your decision to make and if he don't like it? He can do one!

Huh wait your man is mad because u get a ride too work from a dude and his girl that's confusing me but do your thing make that money nothing wrong with a friend giving u a ride to work or u can take a Uber ride lol aslong u have transportation all is well 🥰

I think it's nothing wrong to take a ride if i were you i would have take ride. I don't think that we should judge other just by taking ride for going to work your place
