And the reason why she said she wasn't happy with me so she ran up to Wisconsin to see him the bad news is I think she is going to introduced her ex boyfriend to my mother in law and the entire family in that case what should I do? Should I open the door for her to come back or close it?

She is trying to reopen a chapter from her life. Somehow she probably feels she would have been better off with her old boyfreind after 20 years of being with you. Not trying to be mean but that's what I got from your story.

Kinda dumb on her part. Now what if she married him 20 years ago and got sick of him and decided to reignite the flames with you after such a long absence.

Think about it, would you really want to get back into a relationship with a girlfriend from 20 years ago and drop your current wife? Probably not...because you are normal.

Your wife seems a little screwy trying to get back with a boyfreind from 20 years past and drop her current husband of 20 years. Doesn't make sense, even if your marriage was THAT BAD OFF normal women don't run off to a boyfriend they had 20 freaking years ago...they usually have a new boyfreind that they have been having an affair with.

The only thing that tells me is she has been going down memory lane a little too much and somehow met her old flame and thought "Hey I have a good idea". You wife must have the most mundane life if she wants to leave you for another guy and it isn't even a new guy...its the same guy she had 20 years ago that she ended a relationship with.

She is going backwards, maybe she wants to be young again? Her life must be really pathetic. Just my 2cents.

Time for you to close the door on her and move foward in life while she moves backwards in life. Her loss...when she gets tired of her old boyfreind maybe she will want her old husband back...then that is when life is going to kick her in the ass because you moved foward and left her in the dust.

To punish her? She's adult, even if she didn't react that adult: running away instead o talking it out with you. She wasn't happy? Find out why and react to that, instead of reacting to her own reaction to it and building up tensions. You THINK she is going to introduced he ex boyfriend to year mother in law and the entire family .

3.Since it's her ex, don't they know him already?

4. She eloped, but wasn't it to go crying on someone's shoulder, receive recomfort, rather than sexual gratification? Does she have friends where you live?

5. Her ex will have reoriented his life in those 20 yrs: chances are there is no place for her in it.

Jacquesvol, you ar ethe most forviving person I ever met on this site. Rarely do I ever advise people to end a relationship with somone but this story made me cringe. At this point it doesn't matter who was wrong or right. His wife made a decision and is working hard on re-starting a "OLD" relationship with an old flame from years gone by. If he had the option of letting her back in...I vote no. Its over and I am sorry to express that, I am very forgiving by nature but that story made me cringe.
