GUYS! I want to know what pushes you to cheat!

I want to know why guys who love their significant other, whether they are married to her, or just in a long-term relationship with her, why do they end up cheating?!

My best friends dad cheated on his wife, but they worked it out!

I'm just curious. I know at a younger age, guys have raging hormones and they don't think about what they are doing sometimes, but when you know you're in love with a great girl, what draws you in to even the idea of cheating on your special girl? Trying to cheat, having thoughts on cheating, and actually cheating on her. Why do you do it? Do you feel guilty? Does it mean you love your significant other less?!

My ex-boyfriend tried to cheat on me many times, and actually did once. He felt terrible about it after and I knew he still loved me, he showed me he did afterward too.

But I really want to know why it happens?!

I apologize for singularly using guys as the only example as cheaters! I do understand and agree that girls cheat as well, I'm just curious about what pushed guys specifically to do so! (=

I just want to say to start off I have never cheated and don't plan on it but I can be tempted and I can understand how some guys can't resist cheating.

I think for me and lots of other guys it's really hormones and the desire to have sex with as many girls as possible. I hate to say it although it's obvious, guys crave sex like crazy. Sex is better than any drug or food or any other activity. Ever since I've been about 13 years old I have been obsessed with girls, their lady parts, and sex. I have a craving to see as many girls naked as possible because all their bodies are interesting to me. I wonder how their body will feel against mine, I wonder what the inside of their p**** feels like, and I wonder what their O face looks like. This strong curiosity and craving can lead to lots of bad decisions. My craving for sex and sex related stuff does not seem to go away even in a relationship.

The only way I can resist cheating is the thought of how bad I would feel if I was cheated on myself and I also use p*rn to satisfy the curiosity and fascination I have about women's bodies. P*rn also helps me get rid of the urge to have sex with different girls by allowing me to fantasize about it instead of doing it.

I think why lots of guys cheat in a relationship is that a girl comes along that really tempts them and their guy instinct tells them to fertilize her and they know they are only going to get one chance to do it, so it's now or never. They don't want to regret turning down sex later so they do it thinking that they will not feel guilty later but then they do feel guilty.

Its our hormones. They are raging at a young age and really its almost torture sometimes. Its really hard to describe, but its really like how drugs and alcohol influence our decision making but with hormones its something we can't help. These hormones make guys perverted, aggressive, and unfortunately cheat. After the hormone high is over, its like ohh sh*t, what did I do? And you feel really bad and sh*tty about it. Personally I have never cheated on a girl and I never will. Now, even so there are a lot of guys who are players and will fake attraction and will not care if they hurt the person or cheat. Others might cheat because they don't feel loved in the relationship and the girl is acting cold towards him. But, really when there is lack of atrraction in the relationship like that, that's when you should just break up. But if a guy has a good will and cares about the girl he's with, he ll probably never cheat on her. Now there are many girls who cheat too, not just guys. I know instances of relationships where two people constantly cheat on each other because they keep getting back at each other for cheating, which is stupid. This girl cheated on me because she thought she was seeking revenge on me for cheating. Turns out I never cheated on her or intended to cheat on her. I broke up with her.

Thank you for that explanation! I completely agree that it is not always the guy who is at fault! I'm so sorry that you have experienced someone cheating on you, it really does suck!

Thanks. Actually several times and they acted like they were above it and it was okay and I was being controlling by having a problem with it. The relationship was def not lacking and any girlfriend I have, I treat her very well and I don't neglect anybody. They def ended up being selfish. I don't know what their reasons were rather if was game, using me , or they were rrying ro see how much they could get away with. whatever the reason it was intentional and not from something I did or didint do.

Men and women cheat mainly because they feel something missing within their relationship or themselves.

Men cheat because its physical satisfaction , Women cheat cause of emotional satisfaction.

Anyone is capable of cheating, Even The great Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. cheated on his wife before in their marriage.

isn't a little bit easier to address the problem (lack in something) by talking about it and fix it(which would be a mature way of dealing with it) than going A wall and cheat?

That would be the mature thing to do but most people don't recognize the issue when it comes to relationship issues. Its like IF I dropped a bomb in your room and locked you in, your first reaction is to get the hell out of the room opposed to trying to calm down and defuse the bomb. People act on impulse oppose to logic in these situations.



Most people don't recognize the issue before the commit the act of cheating, either they accept it and underestimate it or they are blind to it.

It all boils down to lose of affection. You can love someone to death. They love you just as much but if they don't show it your not gonna wanna show it. So the other person seeks that affection in other places. Most people mistake affection for sex. It is also quick gratification in that department.

Sometimes, the girlfriend/wife just doesn't satisfy you, sexually. And you don't want to cheat - you try and spice things up in the bedroom, or make things more interesting for her. But if she still isn't interested, and is unwilling to do her fair share of work on that side of the relationship, or ignores your discomfort and insists everything is just fine... well, you cheat.
