Do I seem uninterested?

So I'm talking to this guy and I like him a lot. He is sweet, mature, and caring, not to mention totally adorable. For the past two days he has called me just to chat, and yesterday he called me, than went to see a movie and said he would talk to me later and called me after the movie. I thought that was really sweet of him. I think he really likes me. We can talk on the phone without it being awkward at all and for an 18 year old guy, that is rare. However today he didn't contact me, but it was also Friday night and I told him I'd be out. However, because he does most of the calling, should I let him take the lead and contact me again next or should I initiate something? I don't want him to think I'm uninterested but I also don't want him to think I'm sitting waiting around for him.

We live somewhat far so that is the reason why we are not hanging out too much.

If you are interested in him give him a call. I don't think that by you calling him, he will think you are just sitting around waiting for him to call you first. I'm kind of in the same situation as you with the distance thing. I know how hard it is to spend time together when you don't live very close to each other. That's why it is important that you stay in contact with him. This will let him know you want to get to know him and see where things go for the two of you. If you let him do all the calling he will get the impression that you aren't interested and feel like he is just wasting his time. He may just stop calling if he thinks it is a one way street. I hope things work out for you.

Yeah we aren't seeing each other today, I don't know why it seemed like that in the question. I wish...haha
