Say for example, your partner gives you a very expensive gift like a pair of lovely diamond earrings or a Rolex watch, but unfortunately, you break up. Would you return the gift or keep it?

I, personally, would give it back to my ex because I do not want anything that reminds me of them. How about yourself?

Me and my ex boyfriend were together for nearly 4 years
We had multiple break ups
He usually initiates contact and we would get back together

We broke up 3 weeks ago
When we broke up, I got most of my things/clothes and left his apartment
I still had abit of my clothes there though since they're not as important

Its been 3 weeks and no contact from him
But when I came home today, I saw a box full of my clothes from his
He left it near my front door outside

Why did he give it back 3 weeks later?

This is a **hypothetical** question

Personally, it depends on the nature of the crime and its severity for me. If it was a serious offense, I would break up with them. If it was something petty, I would stay with them.

Which option would you pick if you wanted to show your ex you have moved on, make them jealous, want you back, whatever. Would you (A) remove them from your social media to make them wonder how you're doing or (B) let them see what you are up to.

My friends and I were discussing it and had very different views so want to know what the majority think. :)

Me and my now ex-boyfriend had a massive argument on Monday
We made up so I thought he was over it
Until today..

Before the argument, he would always call me after work while driving home.. he would text me on breaks
He would give me surprises
We were happy

These couple of days after the argument he hasn't done that
He was abit distant

He would still message me
"I love you babe"
and sending me love heart emojis

Then today when he got home, he said he wants to break up
It was so random.
Why would he send me all those messages and then break up?

Then I got angry about it and would tell him off
And he told me to get out of his apartment
But I just kept going on and telling him
"he's selfish"
etc
And he wanted the apartment keys back
But I wouldn't give it to him because he wouldn't let me get my clothes and stuff from the apartment first
So he took my arm and dragged me out of the door

I went back home to my parent's place
And I saw a missed call from him

Why the f**k would he call me after that?

Does it ever end happily? I haven't broken up with anyone until now and yeah I'm still sad about it and I still like my ex, but if it didn't work out first time why should it work out the second time?

We broke up well mainly because of our quite hotheaded personalities, we argued over almost every little thing, also we had slightly different views regarding some stuff (family and such), he wanted me to leave my family even because they're abusive but it is easier said than done.

Anyway, he keeps trying to contact me, saying he wants to "talk" but every damn chance he's trying to get close though deep inside I think he still likes me, he didn't take the break up well, according to our friends he started drinking more after out break up.

I don't know what to do, how am I supposed to know if giving a chance is the right thing to do?

No one likes to take the blame for the reason why the relationship failed or ended, but I guess it's good to reflect on it so you can change if needed...

Thinking back on my past relationships, I always found myself attracted to the guys who had some mental issues. Great at masking it, but later found out the struggled a lot and it caused issues in the relationship. I was always the one by their side, but they'd push me away due to these mental issues that they left unresolved. I was always the one to get broken up with because they just needed to fix themselves and couldn't maintain a relationship. I wouldn't say either of us were to blame for the relationship ending, but the reason for the breakup was always because of their own issues.

Basically, my boyfriend and I are broken up now (since Wednesday), and he asked me for space. This happened due to a string of miscommunications and my mental health issues. He ended it: on Saturday he was visiting his mom, and I receive a text from her, asking how I am, and when I ask her what she thinks of the situation, she says that giving him space does not mean it won’t be fixable. We are close, but I also feel like that advice wouldn’t have been given if it was truly over.
