Boyfriend doesn't want to meet my family. Why?

My bf and I have been dating for almost 6 months now and I thought I'd introduce him to my mom. It's not meant to be a serious deal, but my brother tries to evade the question every time I bring it up.

I once said that he could meet my dad once we go to the country he lives in. My bf just said that he would prefer for my dad not to be at home.

Why doesn't my bf want to meet my family?
