He called me by his sister's name twice?

In the same day, my boyfriend was looking straight at me talking and called me by his sister's name. Our names are nothing alike and honestly, we are nothing alike as people either. Immediately, he apologized and acted upset that he had done so. Should I be thinking more into it or just leave it be?

We call our teachers mom by misstake sometimes too. Its just how it is. I've definitely called my female friends my sisters name a few times by misstake so yeah xD

He was probably upset by his sister or thinking of his sister while talking to you. if it has never happened before but if its happening often thats a bit strange.

Is he close with his sister? If so, it might show that he's getting closer to you now too. I wouldn't read too much into it though.
