My crush says he is ugly, I tell him he is beautiful and hot but he insists on being ugly, we both like each other and have told each other but I don't want to make the first move. I really like him but what should I do to make him not call himself ugly and have a higher self esteem?

Most people think of themselves as unnattractive i mean I feel attractive because people tell me I am but if no one told me I might feel unattractive the human brain focuses on flaws a lot and you guys are young so I wouldn't say it's uncommon for him to think that just keep telling him you think he looks good maybe you will build a bond and maybe become friends or more then friends
