I believe they do make great partners. But it's not so much of height. It has to do with the insecurities that comes with their height that makes it unattractive. I know this by experience dealing with my father who is only 5'3. And often opposites attract but is left one-sided. Where the short guy likes taller girl, but fears he won't have a chance with her. His fears are then realized when the said girls, he's attracted to rejects him and mock his manhood at the same time. It doesn't help, when taller guys or the make population lack respect for shorter men. It's hate on both sides of the spectrum. Thank God there are women like my late mother who adores short men and is attracted to them.

It seems like you only reply to and pick a fight with girls who don't like short men. As a short woman, I like a man taller and average height. Too tall or too short feels unbalanced. But I have dated a shorty and had the most wicked chemistry/attraction to him. His height was a downer sometimes but I'll always remember the physical chemistry. Taller guys have come close, but no cigar.

Anonymous(25-29)+1 yI don't, then again I'm 4'11. As long as I find you physically attractive (face wise) I don't care. I know the most popular girl at school went for a short average looking kid in my school BC he's the sweetest guy ever. Tbh I'd date him and he doesn't even look that good to me honestly

+1 yIt is a shame that being short is the worse thing you can be for women in the west. And trust me they will hate you with a passion as if you choose to be short just to be unattractive to them on purpose.
As a short men I know. Also they will gaslight you to death to justify they own prejudice agaist it.
Everything a tall men does to be more attractive will be seen as compensating or bad for short men. The bottom line is women see hight as the most important thing and if you don't have it don't waste your time.
There are of course exceptions to the rule, some women may like you as you are and these are the only one you should invest in if they show interest. But never try compensate for being short. You have nothing to compensate or apologize for.
Both men and women have the right to only date who they like for whatever reason.
Basically avoid people who don't like you.

so you get into relationships with guys in order to avoid being injured from violence?
where the hell are you living? haha - +1 y
+1 yI don't hate short dudes. Just like men don't hate small chested women. Kinda same thing, both something you really can't affect on, but people are gonna make fun of it anyway because it's generally seen as unattractive. Nice people though are not that shallow and think that maybe there is something else to a person than his/her body.

It really does suck for short men too, not saying that it isn't hard, but it's the same way for both sides: Men like feminine bodies and women like masculine bodies. The difference is that a girl can try and stuff their bras and shave their overly growing body and facial hair 24/7 to look ok. A guy can always say for defence that they can't help their height, while women should "fix em up" and that brings a lot of pressure and fear that a man will be dissapointed to her natural body.
Of course there are some inidividuals that accept or even happen to like those things, sure, but in general they are seen as flaws. - +1 y
The thing is women are always complaining that they want loyalty, empathy, sensitivity, emotional support, faithfulness, and moral integrity.
A girl like you cannot really complain if you are cheated on or mistreated because you get into relationships for the dumbest reason EVER. - +1 y
@GraveTruth What do you mean? Are you talking about the height or?
I have already learned my lesson when it comes to shallowness, but most people in this world haven't.

First of all you can still have a short kid with a tall guy. If you are really concerned about that then maybe you shouldn't have kids.
+1 yI actually don't care at all about this! I've dated guys who are shorter than me and its not an issue. Its about how they treat a person, not if they look like the cookie cutter image of an all American tall dark n handsome guy.

+1 yI think it's just being shallow. My guy who is 5'6".
You should be with a guy with a great personality. Tall does not mean you're a good person. Short or tall, it doesn't matter. Short guys can protect you just as much as tall guys. Just cuz you're short doesn't mean you lack strength and the ability to provide security to your woman.

1 ythey won't answer your question, they are trying to make themselves look good. they will always lust after tall guys it's just a curse that you were born with and can't really get rid of, think of it as just playing the game of life in hard mode. just live through it my man, may god be by your side, no matter what it is it's possible if you keep fighting for it.

Asker+1 yAnd why is that?

I'll answer that for her. Apperently, loyalty, empathy, sensitivity, emotional supportivness, faithfulness, and moral integrity don't mean nothing. Reaching higher is the real necessity.

@GraveTruth The thing I don't get about some males is that they have the NERVE to get offended when females won't date a certain type of males but they think they're entitled to not dating fat women, ugly women, tall women, women who do not have long hair, women of certain ethnic groups but they expect us to put aside our personal preferences because it isn't right to reject a man due to his height.
If you're entitled to rejecting a woman who is loyal, intelligent, respectable, honest and so on and so forth just because of how she looks, then you best to believe that women have EVERY right to turn down a man due to his height.
You can take your double standards elsewhere. - +1 y
NO, the reason why men get offended is because women feel that they can FREELY be shallow and self absorbed as as a result most women freely say shallow CRAP. For example, height, the majority of women just say no. OR RACE, majority of black women will just freely say "Oh, I only date black men"(pretty racist if you ask me).
But if men say stuff like "I only date blondes" they are CREEPS. - +1 y
@GraveTruth That is BULL. I can't tell you how many males turn down females because they're not their type. I completely understand having a type, but when it gets in the way of your dating life, then it becomes an issue. That's why most males who are single are bitter because it's their fault. They have nobody to blame except themselves.
Men who are below average, short, overweight and balding expect to have a hot woman on their arm yet they hold issue with a woman saying that she wouldn't date a short guy. If I turn down a guy die to his height, there are obviously some other underlining reasons as to why I did so.
Black women do not say that they only date black males. A lot of black women are willing to date outside of their own race. I'll have you know that I'm a black female and all I do is date and like males who aren't black. That's besides the point, nobody was even discussing race yet you had to bring it up. - +1 y
Maybe you should take a look at how single woman are in the dating pool before saying single men are at fault.
In case you have not noticed, if you go to any dating site, mens profiles are filled with trying to sell themselves as a worthy guy and womens profiles are filled with what they want and what they don't want.
It's so bad that 50% of womens introductions are fiercely negative "If you are not "blah" then move along".
I am sorry miss, but this is how it is. Men try to be as good as possible and women just throw demands.
I used race as an example because I know it's a good one and would be suitable for you. You would know what I'm talking about. The race card works the opposite way as well. White women think that black men are "better". apparently tone of skin color is a total game changer. - +1 y
@GraveTruth You're joking right? Most males want a tall, skinny, attractive women. That's all guys say. Yes, women are the same way but my point isn't who is worse my point was that women have as much as a right to reject a guy for A, b and or C just like men do.
Men may try to be as good as possible, but they do not settle for an "ugly" girl. Females have a higher chance of "settling" for looks than males do and I have seen it first hand many times. Guys treat women who aren't hot, sexy or attractive as if they're not even human beings. "You're not attractive? Well fuck you then".
I can understand a point of view without race being brought up thank you very much. Last time I checked, we weren't talking about skin color, we were talking about height. And if white women think that black men are better, black men think white women are better. So it's a lose lose/ win win situation depending who and how you look at it. - +1 y
Yes, women have a right to reject a guy the same way men reject women. BUT women all reject for shallow reasons freely and men don't have the same right at all.
We disagree there.
BUT there is an age difference between us. If you are talking about grade 11 and grade 12 children then they everyone is shallow in that world. They are kids and kids are just all selfish with everything.
It's far worse for men with everything. They have to earn more money, be in better shape, be taller, etc, etc, than women. I don't see how you find that ok.
- +1 y
@GraveTruth I'm not talking about high school boys, I'm talking about grown men. We clearly disagree and I'm not in the business of persuading people to agree with my viewpoints. Both males and females can be shallow regardless of their age. We learn to be this way WAY before high school. Whether you want to admit it or not, we're both shallow. We like what we like and I'm sure you're willing to reject someone just as much as me based off of their appearance. For me, if a guy looks average then I don't have an issue with going on with a relationship or whatever, but if you're below that, creepy and overall unattractive I'm moving on and I have every right to do so because you can't make a relationship work with someone you're not attracted to.
- +1 y
Nah, We're not the same for our thoughts on relationships.
I base my relationships on minimal compromise and all of that stuff I said before (loyalty, empathy, sensitivity, emotional supportivness, faithfulness, and moral integrity). - +1 y
@Maypai... I would almost agree with you... but you are dead wrong.
Being "fat" (obese) is unhealthy, regardless of gender.
Being short, on the other hand, has been tentatively linked to superior health. Smaller stature people are usually somewhat healthier. - +1 y
@Maypai, I wouldn't call "Tall and skinny" particularly attractive.
Just thought that I would put that out there.
For me, its shorter to average height, athletic build, Black hair or curls.
ain't nobody hating short men lmao

Guess you can't complain if you get cheated on or abused considering the value you choose for guys.
Opinion Owner+1 y@GraveTruth What? So just because I am not attracted to short guys I deserve to be cheated on or what? You mean there aren't any good guys who also aren't short?
- +1 y
He means if you prioritize being tall instead of being a good person you are more likely to end up with a tall guy who is not a good person? Simple because you are prioritizing hight as the main criteria. Again not to say that there aren't good tall men but it has to do with what you are prioritizing.
I don't hate them
