Why do some guys hate being short so much?

I’m on the shorter side. I don’t have a massive ego. But I have been told I was really hot. Lol. I asked this girl and she was shocked I even asked her.

But. This literally doesn’t bother me at all. I don’t know my exact height. I’m not like super short. I’m in the ballpark of 5 foot something.

As far as finding a girl goes. Not everyone’s going to be attracted to you. So… I don’t really care if a woman isn’t into me because of my height in fact women taller then me seem to show interest in me. But not everyone is going to like anyone.

I honestly do not care about my height. I can’t control it. I don’t know why some care as much.

And although I've tried to express my feelings on this, words alone are not enough to convey just how much I loathe and despise having my life and happiness taken away from me by being genetically inferior/valueless.

But the summarized version for me is, I despise being short so much because I don't like anyone seeing me as small, weak, pathetic, or an "easy target." I'm not and I could literally kill you with my bare hands (that's not hyperbole; I'm trained and know all the anatomy to do so), but having to always be seen as something inferior and pathetic, infuriates me, because I had no choice in the matter and did not choose to suffer from Precocious Puberty as a child. I didn't chose to have all women dismiss me because I'm not six foot something. And I didn't choose for sh*tstains to look at me as being as objectively valueless as they are (the ones who call me as such).

There's two things people could describe me as, based on my size. One is "small/weak/puny/inferior," and that bothers me a bit. But not that much, because at least, that is their truth. I'm more upset at my own failure of a body, then I am them pointing it out.

The other is infinitely worse, though; "meaningless/insignificant/valueless/mediocre/average." That is enough to infuriate me into violence, and I'm not even going to lie or front like it doesn't. If anyone could accuse me of having a Napoleon Complex, it's being called that and then KO'ing someone bloody and unconscious due to a blood rage triggered from it. I shouldn't even admit this, but only two things offend me, and that's the main one; being considered an objectively useless human being based on not growing enough into a "real man" like most other guys over six feet tall that I see around me. As if I chose to be a genetic failure of a creature.

I don't expect anyone to get this, nor do I care if they understand me or not. The simplest analogy I could put it, is asking a God to be happy with the life of a sea slug, knowing you could've been a God, but due to bad luck, ended up a sea slug. I'm not exactly the "live and let live" type, knowing just how much I lost in life due to being a genetic waste.

Some men are fine being seen as weak and valueless. I am not one of them. Is OP @bigpauly or someone else?

I see what you mean. For the most part as long as you don’t mess with someone. They won’t mess with you.

Though predatory people are bad. That’s why it’s good to carry a gun. Most people don’t really care about height on normal day to day

South Korea doesn't allow open carry or conceal carry (only special hunting rifles), but in the US, I had a Glock 19.

Another thing is so many men hold women to unrealistic beauty standards to even consider them as well. Use women for sex. The list goes on and on.

I don’t think anyone is a bad person for having preferences. As long as they don’t judge someone as a human being and just their romantic and sexual attraction.

I have my own preferences.

There are men who don’t want to date a woman whose morbidly obese. Doesn’t mean there aren’t men who are into bigger women.

Same with height. There are women who definitely prefer taller. Some who like taller but if a man has other qualities she might be attracted.

Some don’t care. Some like men in the same range of height. Some even like shorter.

There is soulmates and only one perfect person for people. So. It makes sense many times at one point or another. There will be conflicts of interest if it isn’t meant to be.

The thing is, if you don't want to date someone or be their friend, you ARE judging them as inferior or worthy. And I am not saying that is "bad," but that is exactly what people are doing. Women don't not-date short men like me because "I like you, but I'm just not attracted to manlets." They don't date short men because they see us as weak, inferior, and unmasculine males. That is what it is; they just likely won't state it that bluntly. Men are more honest when it comes to things like this, like thinking of obese women as "disgusting landwhales" or whatever words they call them.

I don't believe in love anymore. I had my one girl. She was 6'3.5"/191 cm. She died before reaching 24. There's no one else like her in the world. She was my one and only shot. So that's the universe right there telling me there IS no one out there for me, unlike the options I'd have if I were 6'3".

That isn’t true. I wouldn’t date a 100 year old woman. Doesn’t mean I don’t value her as a person. Doesn’t mean I don’t love her. Old people are awesome. Old ladies are amazing folks. I wouldn’t date one. Sorry.

I never said I couldn’t be friends with someone. Though there are some people you don’t click with in life.

There are women who have prefencss. But again. Not all women. There are men who pursue only chubby women too. And good for them. It does not mean I don’t

Because women have a completely irrational expectation of what their ideal man must be. If you ask 100 women what they want in a man, one of the first things they mention is that he hast to be at least 6 feet tall. Here’s the problem, only 14% of all men in the US are above 6 feet tall. That includes the Pimbley faced 15 year old who had a growth spurt all the way to the 85 year old man who is still 6 foot two. It includes all ethnicities, people who are married , homosexual, in jail, etc.
so all of these women that look down on short men don’t realize that the percentage of men that fall into the category of people they are looking for is probably no better than 5 to 8% of all men. the average height of a man in the United States is 5‘9“ tall. There’s a lot of average women looking for and expecting to meet very statistically rare men. So if you’re short you’re at a huge disadvantage and it can be a terrible mental issue from people who are not tall. It’s just some thing you can’t change.

Statistically only 4% of straight women are willing to date men same height or shorter than them. *Ideally* women want men to be six feet tall minimum and any man below that is already undesirable/short to them. They're just willing to settle for short men under six feet tall who are still taller than them. If the man is same height or shorter than the woman though; then your chances are down to 4% automatically. And that's not even getting into other things women look for, like handsome face, good gym body, successful, confident, charismatic, etc. The numbers for a a chance to find a decent woman are in the.00-something range at that point. Even if a man is the minimum height a woman will accept him as, six feet or above, the chances of her being a GOOD woman and liking him for who he is, is already less than 10% when you add in the other variables.

In other words, something being possible, like a woman liking a shorter guy, doesn't make it probable.

@MCheetah don’t know how that poll was conducted. Plenty of men shorter then me can get a girlfriend. Superficial women will find the hard way when they’re alone forever or have bad partners.

He’s absolutely correct. Barely 20% of most guys have some combination of the characteristics that 80% of the women look for these days. There have been plenty of studies and documentation to back it up

Oddly enough. Yes the divorce rate is high anymore. Did not always be this way. Because people don’t marry for the right reasons.

I don’t even agree with everything traditional but if some people want that nothing wrong with it.

But I will say that. People used to marry for love. Virginity was special. Sex in marriage was special and sacred and yes fun.

But it isn’t like that anymore.

the one thing I have noticed in ALL of these guys is that, it is not only their height they're upset with... there's also other physical aspects they are insecure about, and there's also shortcomings with their personality and their attitude, character and all that

and that's where the denial starts "there is nothing wrong with me... it is all women's fault because they do not like short guys"

and also, yes... for all other men that are not particularly taller but they do not have other insecurities either, these men don't have issues with their height nor being happy and satisfied in relationships with women

height can just be the easiest excuse to go with, to sabotage one self
