Girl says she needs time apart to focus on herself?

So a girl that I have been "on" with for a fair while now has recently told me that she just doesn't think she can cope with what's going on with us right now. She said that i'm "always on her mind" and that it's driving her crazy. She said that having me distracts her from focusing on herself and what's important for her right now. I told her that I'm willing to wait till the time is right, she replied back that I don't have to wait for her because apparently i could do so much better than her. I just feel that i've lowered her self esteem. She said she "likes me too much" that she can't handle it right now. I'm just really really confused.

Could anyone please help with this?

It sounds like she doesn't know what she wants. Just honor her wishes and if she decides you are what she wants she'll come back

Wholly crap, I'm on the same page as you are! Cept for my lady wants time to focus on finding a job, finishing her last course and finding a new place to stay away from her ex... we doing no contact for about 5 days so far, do I got a chance?

I don't think she will end up dating you. It sounds like an excuse to me.
