I am not tall and his type but he loves me?

I'm not tall and my boyfriends type and I'm trying not to be bothered about it but its stuck in my mind. My boyfriend told me that before me he had a specific type (6'+) I don't understand why he wants me. He's told me he loves me. But I'm very short for his ideal. I'm the complete opposite of his type. He told me in the early days before I knew his type that he wanted to find a relationship that wasn't just physical attraction and he wanted someone he could connect with on a deeper level, he was sick of there never being anything else there with his exs and we have done that, we have similar interests and outlooks on life. He told me he can fully be himself with me and that he normally had to hold back. I'm a pretty girl, and normally I feel confident with myself. I just feel as though I'm not good enough for him or that he's just settling for me. He says he's physically attracted to me as well as having this connection but I don't understand how he can be when I'm so different from the others. To sum this up, can he really want to spend his life with me when I'm not even his type?

okay, my girl and me are the same. she was just a friend at the begining and i never thought she'd be my lovr oneday. guys, whatever they say they dont have an exact or a fixed description of the girl they wish for, most of it change with time or people we meet. i mean they do say stuff but, i always wanted a girl with straigh hair short less clingy less talkative but my current girlfriend is the exact opppsite, she is clingy (now that brought me lot of truobles but i was patient and it took several months and changed her self) can't wait a second without talking (and i absolutely love it now) and she has a thick curly black hari which i love the most. and she is short, yes. And more importantly, its not whats in the outside appearance.
