so my boyfriend loves me very much and he always steps up to the plate and is incredibly loyal and sweet however he has a very close relationship with a girl who is his best friend

he calls her wifey, bae and she always says "i love u" and he says "i love u too" or "i love you too bae" constantly

she hates me and is always trying to sabotage our relationship, and I've always tried to make it work while saving their friendship as well. he's always trying to tell her where her place is, and to not make things bad for us. however the "wifey" abd "bae" things really bother me for some reason... am i being unreasonable? she doesn't like him, she likes another guy.

No you are not being unreasonable at all. How would he like if you call another man "hubby". Believe me, he would have a problem with it so I dont know why he is doing this to you. Married couples do not even disrespect each other like this. A relationship means respecting and caring for each others feelings. These generation of guys are so clueless and I hate the way that they treat females.

he doesn't mean any harm, however he sees her in such a good light meanwhile she's not a good person, it just gets me down sometimes. she acts innocent when he's around so he doesn't know that side of her. thank u for the advice :)

he showed me texts because he got mad at her once when they were texting and i was with him, he was simply talking about me and she got mad and said "UGH i hate her f***king HIT HER" which blew up both away for very obvious reasons (and he calls her "wifey" pfft) and he was like "erm no.." and he tells me that she doesn't like me and she makes it very clear

I would tell him joking or not, "wifey" and "bae" are suppose to be held with high regard towards your SO, not a light-hearted nickname between friends. Tell him every time he calls her "wifey" it degrades and makes that word less significant between you two. Put your foot down and demand it stop.

i know but doesn't it hurt when he doesn't think of me like that in the first place? i can't change his opinions, and i have to accept the fact that he will never see me the way he sees her but it hurts a lot as i see him like that. thank you for the advice.

Absolutely! I would be upset! That is something that is suppose be special between you two and he has downgraded it to a stupid on-going joke. Maybe a little reverse psychology might work. Start calling him "bud" or "pal" and treat him like just a friend for a while with no intimacy and see how he likes it.

Depends on the meaning behind the words. Words are empty on their own. I often use terms like that with my female friends, it's more fun

true but he really does love her when he says it.. she's not a good person at all and tries to ruin my relationship however she has done bad things in the past and not once have i exposed that side of her. if i did, he would definitely question her but it just hurts how he sees someone like her in such a good light i wish he saw me his own girlfriend like that

Oh.. If that's the case, I think it's best to separate yourselves from her before it becomes anything more serious. If she's not a good person at all then there's no reason for her to be in your life. Just ask your boyfriend for the truth.
