Amazing first date and then nothing?

So i went on a great date with a guy I met on Tinder. Before the date he messaged me constantly and was super keen and lovely. We had an amazing night together.. we went for coffee and then he showed me his really cool office where he makes films for a company. We hung out there and the conversation was great. We made out a lot... it got pretty physical lets say.. i msy have ended up giving him a bj... We Told each other we liked each other a lot and agreed we had a great night and wanted to meet again. He honestly seemed so so genuine. I was on cloud nine. The day after the date he text me at night asking how i was.. the convo was very brief small talk.. we messaged each other back and forth for the coming week but in total i got like 5 messages from him as he would take like a day to reply :( he said he was really busy with work but i mean... he had time to text me heaps last week before he met me. Then last weekend i asked him if he wanted to meet up for a coffee and a walk on Sunday. He said he should be able if he got his project for work finished. He seemed pretty keen.. saying it would be nice to see me and he would let me know if he could. I haven't heard from him since. Its so frustrating because he was SO nice and sweet before. The date seemed to go really well.. he even said so and he seemed very genuine and kind. Then he justs leaves me hanging. I've given up on the idea of anything happening between us now but i really want to understand wtf happened here. I feel so discouraged from dating in the future. Guys any ideas what might have gone on here?
