Can I date a guy thats like 8 years older than me?

Question

I really like this guy but he's like about 8 years older but he's single and soo cute!! and he's really nice and he wants to adopt kids and he is soo cute!! but do you think it would work out? because the age gap is pretty big and i wasn't even planning on having a boyfriend in hishschool but he's just so perfect!!

by the way im 15 and he is at least 22 and under 26 years old (im not totally sure but he is really perfect!)

At that point 8 years is a bit too much in my opinion. Age gaps matter less the older you get. Think:40/48 and 15/23. A lot happens between your teenage years, a 15 year old and a 23 year old are usually in quite different places in life.

In theory, yes. You gotta ask yourself, what's wrong with the 22 year old grown man that wants to date a 15 year old girl? There's definitely something wrong there.

yes, 8 years is not such a big gap in my country the gap is always like 5-10 years and the relationships are usually good. so i suggest you say yes
