Guys, If a guy tells you that you look better in person than in pictures, is that a compliment?

This guy I've been dating for a while told me that I look better in person than in pictures. Do you believe this is a kind of a compliment?

I personally look average to horrible in pictures. depends. yet in real life the prettiest girls seem to be drawn towards me. and I've always been told by girls and women that I look amazing.
So even if I know I can get the hottest of them, I have this incredibly big confidence issue when it comes to photos. all these ideas running through my head about the other person making an impression on me based on how I look in photos. Even if the other person already knows how I look in real life.

So hearing from someone that I look better in real life than in photos, wouldn't help me much. It would be like hearing: "Woa, you look horrible in pictures". Well thanks, let me cry a bit. :(
What I'd like to hear is simply her telling me about how she feels I look in real life, no mention of photos

Yes, very much so. Because the pictures at Times will be filtered to make you look more appealing than you are. So if he says that then the pics did not capture your true loveliness and it is a nice to see you are far more prettier than previously thought.

But if he phrased it like, "You're even more beautiful in person than in your pictures!" then it's definitely a compliment.

Yes it is, and some people are like that. Have you ever seen a guy that looked better in person? Same thing. I don't know what it is about a camera, but some people just aren't very photogenic. He didn't have to say it to you though! lol
