Have an opinion?
It depends on the guy. Personally if he is trying to date you or get to know you, this is just a general question. You do not have to cook to be a wife, but I will say that having a significant other (male or female) who can is definitely a plus. Cooking is just another topic that he might find a connection with you.
Being wife material doesn't mean that you can cook or know how to clean the house. In my opinnion it's just curiosity to learn more about the person you are dating.
I think he just want to know if you can cook, lol. I do cook a little bit and I've cooked for guys before, but cooking for them signifies you care about them. Cooking kind of solidifies the relationship so if you want to be his wife then keep cooking :)
I would not necessarily say that, it could be that he is looking for a mommy to take care of him. At what point in the relationship was this asked of you? If it was the first date run!! If you have been dating for a while and things are progressing then yes he could be looking at the next step in the relationship. I guess I might ask why he is asking!!
For me, it possibly can be:- I want tout talk about cooking (i. e. tell my favorite food)- I'm feeling like I'm hungry and so m'y thoughts went in "food mode"- If I'm talking to a girl whom I'm interested with, then yes, it's for a more serious purpose.Excuse my English. Please, do correct me.
Damn french autocorrect...
no. it's a sign that he is curious. your answer may factor into his consideration of you as a potential partner though but the question itself doesn't necessarily indicate that he considers you wife material... in my opinion
Not necessarily. Sometimes it's genuine curiosity. My wife isn't the greatest cook but that's not important to me as I prepare a draft cook the majority of our meals and love grilling. If you can cook that's great, it's like any other skill.
Not necessarily! He might just be asking, guys like food and really like the girls who can cook. Let's face it from centuries women who can cook are preferred more than the women who can't. Men nature.
I think its a sign he's trying to determine if you are wife material
No he just wants to know if you're better than the modern age woman. Or maybe he can't cook and wants to learn off you.
If I ask you and we are dating or having sex? It means I sm thinking of what kind of wife you would be.
No it means he’s asking if you can cook.Just like if he asks if you do laundry he’s asking if you can operate a washing machine.
Wife material? Now THAT is funny. It's probably to see if he can scam out of cooking and have you do it
Of course not! Dont go paranoic. It is a very simple question. Like do you know how to swim or something
No. That alone is not enough to deduce whether someone see's you as wife material. The information you have presented alone isn't enough to deduce anything.
Not necessarily wife material could just be girlfriend material or he’s just hungry lol
So many girls cannot cook which means a lot of money being spent on going out. Let's face it, money issues kills every relationship.
Nope, just wants a free meal lolI've never ask that girls tell me themselves that they wanna make something for me and asks what would I like to eat :)
It means he wants to know if you can cook. Nothing else.I highly doubt most men use if a woman can cook as a reason or not to marry her. It’s the modern age. Or maybe he does. Guys?
Me personally like to hear when a woman says she can cook, it means she has not alienated her self completely from normal and it also means that she is a multilayered person with different interests. I know how to make a few meals that are not too complicated and would like to hear that she knows the same or is at least willing to learn so we can do it together sometimes. The more you know the more your worth, I mean that in a good way, not a materialistic one.
@howlyz that makes sense!
Some of us rather cook a few days than you cook because cooking for two everyday is aggravating by yourself.
Yeah probably but I prefer a woman who can cook as well... Hopefully she can teach me and doesn't ban me from the kitchen.
It's a sign that he wants to know if you can cook. Some guys want a housewife and would want to know for that, but some guys just wonder about the skills and abilities of their girlfriends.
No. Its not about marriage and now a days many girls doesn't know cooking, he is eager to know if you cook then he think you as an angel with spoons and forks in hands..😋
He is just curious can't really tell if he views you as wife material.
It means that he is open to the possibility that you are.
It could mean anything. Maybe he’s into cooking and is looking for common interests
Possibly, but not necessarily. Just want to know if you can cook. Sign of love I think or just curiousity
If he's dating that woman then it's almost sure that he's thinking about her as a wife. But if they are just friend then I'm not sure about it.
Not necessarily. We all want to date someone who has skills
Maybe he's into tasty food and expects you to cook up something delicious occasionally?
no, but i think that guy will miss his lunch to have dinner with u (also made by u).
No, in 2018 women are not only housewifes, but if a girl try to improve herself in cooking, regardless of the skills, is a good thing.
It means he is looking to hire you as his personal cook.
Depends on the situation he asked it in. He's most likely just trying to get to know you better, or just wants to have dinner with you at your place. If you've been a couple for a while, he may be considering you as wife material
Can be good to know, its a basic and very good skill to have.
No he's just himgry and doesn't want to do it himself
Naw, having a woman who can cook is important to a man. There's nothing more special than coming home to a woman who knows how to cook for a her man. It's one way of keeping a man.
Not in my case. I view a girl as wife material if she makes me as happy as can be.
I'm guessing that this question depends on the type of guy that asked.
Yea that's usually a sings of a plan for a long time relationship
I think that most wormen take a insult that the men cook
It means he can't cook. I can't answer well because I prefer to do all the cooking
No it’s just a getting to know you question. Stop overthinking
no, he just wants you to make a sandwich like women should. jk he asked because men prefer women who can cook. thats wifey material
No , now days it’s a question we ask to see if someone knows how to adult properly.
Nooo. It is a very common question. Leave your stereotypes behind and you'll be much happier
Not necessarily. Sometimes they can just be curious. If it were me I'd go anywhere if it meant delicious cooked meals.
He might just be hungry...
Yes I think because if u can cook then your wife material
No, it means he's hungry hahaha
No, it means he's hungry.
Ask him if he can cook back. Lol wtf
No. He just wants to know if you can cook.
no it means can you cook
No, he thought that I am multitasking
Yes and no.. maybe he's hungry
Definitely or he's just hungry
No means he is hungry
Nope, They just ask you for fun.
Not necessarily just wondering
