If he believed what his friends said and he didn't even talk with you about it and directly blocked you- he is an immature guy. And there is no need for you to waste your time on him.
Maybe you believe he is special and amazing but believe me - he is not. The special guy who would really love you, would come to you, tell you what he heard and listen what you are about to say about it.
