Ok I’m going to make this sweet and short.
I was doing laundry for my boyfriend because he’s hopeless and went to put some away but found some panties.
He does live with his parents and his first excuse was blaming it on his mums and that they are hers but I highly doubt it due to the fact of the design of them.

A mature boyfriend would never lie about an issue this serious since it can lead to many assumptions with cheating being the worst of it. I'd discreetly ask his mom if she recognizes the style and size of those panties. If she confirms she does and they are hers or your boyfriend's sister's panties, just ask him how they got in his room in the first place so you can recieve closure. If they aren't, your boyfriend not only broke your trust but was trying to hide a secret from you which can be a deal breaker in a relationship.

At that point, he would need to come clean and tell the truth. If he can give the whole story, it would be up to you to decide if what he committed is worth forgiving or not. If he continues to make up lies, I'd suggest breaking up with him because having trust and honesty in a relationship is a must for it to succeed. I wouldn't jump to conclusions of him cheating on you till you see evidence of behavior change or him saying so otherwise since information can be misconstrued. Although I wouldn't suggest taking this issue lightly either.

It could be a "souvenir" from one of his past encounters, could be his moms or sisters (simply by accident or maybe he took those for sniffing purposes), could be that he likes to wear girl panties lol and lastly, it could be that he is cheating on you.
