My boyfriend says he likes me because I'm child like and easy to talk to - good or bad?

I'm 32 and I still get excited by kiddie cartoons and grade school stickers and children's toys and I am transparent about 98% about my emotions and I have no concept of ego or pride. When I see a chocolate cake, my face lights up and I act like I just won the lottery. One of the reasons I'm so child like is because my parents were extremely abusive towards me and they starved me mentally and emotionally and prevented me from socializing others in a normal way so that I never learned how normal people act in situations and had to improvise by coming up with my own ideas on how to act and think and behave - making me very simple and child like.

Sounds like you act more adult than most adults. Honest feels, enjoying fun things, liking cake, being honest... and he likes those awesome things about you? These are all good things.

The only bad thing is the abuse that caused the situation. But it sounds like it helped keep you from all of the terrible things that people often acquire as armor and shielding to not expose them to the world. Be happy that it made you into a person that he wants to be with.

It's definitely a good thing but he says that you're easy to talk to there's a lot of people it's not easy to talk to and it's not a bad thing that your child like that's not bad at all that's a good thing in my opinion so I think what he's saying is very good I would say take what he says and run with it
