My boyfriend lied about going to a bikini bar?

My boyfriend lied about going to a bikini bar. Now I don’t care that he went to a bikini bar I let him go last week no problem, I’m just more upset at the fact he lied. I usually don’t set to many rules for him so I have no idea why he would lie about it this time. I asked him a lot of times and even said I wouldn’t get mad but he kept denying it even tho his cousin told me they went, I don’t plan on breaking up with him we have a baby together I just want to know what I should discuss to him and how is the best way to fix him from doing this again or if you guys think he will do it again?

it must be embarrassment and then having dug himself into a hole he couldnt then just tell the truth but he needs to know that isn't the way to go in a relationship. better to just be totally honest so tell him you know he went and dont object to that but what you do object to is the fact he chose to lie about it and if he lies again he is out the door.

you may have been together 4yrs but you are both still young and given that men take longer to mature this lesson on being honest is one he has yet to learn it would seem

Yes I understand that, that’s why I don’t try to hassle him to much because I know he is still young and curious but the only rule I have is to be honest because I am very understanding. I will take your advice and see how he reacts
