I am still so in love with a guy I was seeing in the first half of 2018; since June (when we broke up - he dumped me) we spoke over text a few times and had a really nice talk at one event in November. We were always having very nice and friendly conversations, he even sends kisses to me or was quite touchy in person. But the fact is I still miss him a lot and would like us to start seeing each other again. The last time we texted one week ago, I asked him to let me know if he'd be going to one event in town and if I could possibly join him. He said he was going to visit his family during that time and then he was going abroad straight away but would let me know if he'd have one evening free back in the town. He hasn't messaged me since.
I don't know if I should message him wishing happy new year (he had quite a tough year personally so add a little support to that) or just forget it?
