My crush invited me to a pool but I can't swim - what should I do?

I really like him or at least I think so, it's my first big crush and I was super happy that he had invited me over but the problem is I can't swim, not even a little.

Should I make up an excuse? I really wanted to go but being a non swimmer is very awkward and I don't feel confident in my body either.

It’s nothing to be ashamed of and besides which just being there will give him the pleasure of your company that he desires besides which there’s every chance that he will give you personal lessons in being confident in the water. What s great excuse to be close to a crush! Lucky you.

If you lie you would probably loose him, just tell him I can't swim, then again you have to prepare yourself of being touched by him because he would want to teach you, in a very uncomfortable places.

Tell him you'd love to but that you can't swim so he needs to look after you. Maybe it's an opportunity to learn to swim as well. Don't feel embarrassed. If he is a good guy he will not judge for something like this.

Tell him that you cannot swim. Also, don't wear something that you don't want him seeing. Wear a one piece bathing suit. If you're not sure that you like him, then don't do anything your not comfortable with otherwise, it will make him wonder if you don't like him as a person. Be honest with him. If he really wanted to get to know you, he wouldn't have a problem if you don't swim, but suggest something else.

All pools have a shallow end where you can touch the bottom with your feet! If he wants to go to the deeper end, just tell him you don't know how to swim, and maybe he'll even offer to teach you ;)

It's also very normal to not know how to swim, no one would judge you for it

If you’re not confident about your body then don’t wear a bathing suit... you can wear shorts and regular shirt... or just wet your feet or go but don’t get in.. say you have critical days... lol I don't know

- Stay on land

- Be in the shallow parts of the pool

- If you know he likes you, tell him

- Hold onto the sides when you're on the deep end...
