Yes and I have done that. I'm fascinated by wildlife but I always have mixed emotions about zoos. On the one hand the good ones strive to provide the best possible and most appropriate enclosures for a species. And they contribute to conservation efforts around the world. And they enable me as a patron to actually see the species when in all likelihood I never would otherwise. But there is also a sadness inherent in even the best zoos. We see a distorted view of a species's behavior and sometimes like with the big cats it is very disturbing. In an inappropriate (and inhumane) enclosure big cats will exhibit pathologically stereotypical movements that are heartbreaking.

It is OK once or twice. It becomes rather dull after that.
Yes, for sure! (Especially if the zoo has penguins, because those are my absolute favourite). I think it would be a great way to have something to do while spending time together
It's a great date idea for someone who loves animals!

No. When I was in Junior High, I received English classes with free access to the LA zoo. At first it was fun, but then seeing the animals in cages and almost depressed, I couldn’t take it. Since then, I didn’t like the zoo. So a date at the zoo, it would be terrible for me. 😔
I think a zoo would be a fun date with somebody I was friends with for a long time before we began dating because we will be more focused on the conversation than the animals. If it was a guy I didn't know that well - I would want to do something more low key and less exciting so that the focus would be on each other and not on the zoo or the superficials of going on an excursion together.
It is a great first date because everything that you see gives you something to talk about and it is a casual setting (if that is important to you for a first date.)
That would be great! First stop would be the baby elephant rescue exhibit, then, on to the big mud wallow, home of the zoo's VERY toughest inhabitant
Mr Hippo. He is tough, just ask him. Then cap the day with an entertaining observation of Baboon Island and its VERY depraved primates. No, because I would concentrate on animals more than on my date and then the effect is just the opposite of the one intended.
Hell yeah. Im nearly 20 and I still love to go to the zoo. I love playing with the petting farm and love seeing the absolutely monstrosity of some animals
We've gone on dates in the zoo. We had fun. Thanks for the idea. I think I'd like to visit a zoo again soon.
Yes, definetely :) thinking about going on a date this summer with my boyfriend there actually since we both love animals!
I have taken every female I know to the Bronx zoo lol! Hell yeah! there is so much to talk about and see!
Only problem is the smell, or if you go in the summer you get sweaty af walking aroundLove it, trip with my kids or as date. Always fun. Love animals.
No I wouldn’t want to be near those smelly animals!
Hell yeah if they love animals. I'd definitely take that.
Zoo no.
But wildlife park or sanctuary where the animals are actually given a good home and freedom, sure.Sounds like a fun date.
I am in the mountains. I am surrounded by a zoo. Does a walk in the woods count?
Probably not as a first date but that's actually a pretty cool idea for down the line a bit once you've gotten to know each other fairly well
I mean why not. I’ve never went on a date there so it would definitely be a new adventure.
I guess... Not something that would be on the top of my list tho.
No, i'm not allowed back... it's a long story. Involving Zebras, spray paint, and tic tac toe.
No l think they should close all the zoos down its a prison for animals and for humans to stare at held captive animals
