Pale women and dark skinned men are considered attractive but not pale men and dark skinned women why?

Question

The question says it all why is it the opposite sex of the respective skin colour not considered attractive. Hell I even met a bisexual woman who is attracted to dark skinned men but when it comes to women she wants them pale. Even when they are undesirable pale men and dark skinned don't find each other attractive.
So the notion of opposites attracts only works on pale women and dark skinned women

Ok I know people can't control as to what or who they find attractive I'm not going to attack anyone who gives an honest opinion.

But if you feel the above question is true and can't be changed how can one overcome such situation and keep his/her confidence intact especially pale men (even when dark skin is considered unattractive on a woman , remember they are woman and woman have an easier time of finding a man )

For men - darker the man the better looking he is

For women - paler the woman the better looking she is

Im not sure its so much a skin thing, as it is a personality thing. White gay women face discrimination that a lot if straight white women dont - from what I've been told, the white gay girls felt more connected not just too black girls, but minorities in general due to relating there, and minorities being more open minded.

Just my exp though, I can't really speak for the world...

Many depends on where you live. I live in eastern Europe and have to admit, yes, pale skin on women is often considered attractive, some people like tan, but black women are seen as rather unattractive here. Maybe because they almost don't live here and it's very difficult to see one anywhere. We know how black people look mainly from internet and movies.
Same with black men, so no, I don't agree with you. Pale men are also considered attractive here

I think plenty of pale men are considered attractive Caucasian features are considered most attractive on men while Caucasian and mongoloid features are considered more attractive on woman. Like twilight lead actor was crush of so many girls and he is pale. Most Hollywood actors are white. But guys hate woman who is actually darker than light brown. Even as a light brown women you need to be really attractive facially while even face won't help if you have dark brown skin.
